The Bisgeos Hostel and Self Catering Cottages are found on
the island of Westray, one of the Orkney islands.
There are a number of ways to get here.
To get from the Orkney Mainland from Westray you must travel
from Kirkwall. There are regular buses to Kirkwall, the
main town of Orkney from other areas of the island.
From Kirkwall Harbour you could take the car and passenger
ferry run by Orkney Ferries. The duration of this journey
is roughly 1hour 30 minutes. For more information consult the

You could also take the airplane to Westray from Kirkwall airport.
This service is run by Loganair and the duration of the
journey is 15 minutes.
To get to Orkney from the Scottish Mainland you can take a
ferry.
Northlink Ferries operate a Car and Passenger service
from Scrabster to Stromness or from Aberdeen to Kirkwall. The
former journey lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and the latter 6 hours.

Alternatively you can take a ferry run by Pentland ferries
which travels from Gills Bay to St Margarets Hope. This is a
passenger and car ferry and is a slightly shorter journey (1

There is a passenger only ferry run by John O' Groats Ferries
which travels from John O'Groats to Burwick. This journey lasts
45 minutes and you can find out more information about it at

You can also fly to Orkney, landing in Kirkwall Airport. There
are plenty of scheduled flights to Inverness and
Aberdeen, with connections much further afield. |
